My client was charged with aggravated battery (a 15-year felony), allegedly for causing great bodily harm to another person. Myself and my investigator found witnesses and evidence revealing fabricated injuries by the alleged victim and a good case for self-defense and defense of others. After presenting this to the prosecutor, my client was given a misdemeanor charge instead of the initially-offered prison sentence.
